Perfect World Review- PW Legacy
Perfect World Celestial was possibly one of the most anticipated games of 2009 in the Philippines. Around 2010, it came up with a more fun and intense PVP in PW Eclipse. It’s been three years, but Perfect World Eclipse has not stopped growing. Legacy, Perfect World’s newest server for the Philippines, provides a great deal of content for players to enjoy, including two new race, four new classes, elemental fairies (genies), new areas, dungeons, and guild bases.
“There will be a time when the beautiful world will cease to exist as we know it today.
The land of Perfect World will suffer destruction the likes of which has never been seen. The world will be torn apart, leaving massive crevasses across its surface. The oceans will rage with turmoil and the tides will swallow everything in their path. The races of the world, thrown into chaos, will not understand what is happening to their beautiful world.”
The Time of the Prophecy Has Come. Your Legacy Begins.
However, within the depths of the underground, an ancient race of people with arcane powers and innate psychic abilities have foreseen the coming of this post-apocalyptic world. In knowing the future, they have dedicated their lives to prepare for such a day. The time has now come for them to emerge from the underground. They must join the other races of Perfect World and fight alongside them through the coming disaster.

Perfect Graphics:
For me Perfect World excels in this aspect. With Perfect World: Legacy, many of the game’s textures have been updated, adding even more beauty to the environment like in the real world. Character detailing is awesome, textures look beautiful, and the overall atmosphere of the game has a great feeling to it. You definitely cannot go wrong in terms of the game’s graphics, especially considering the ability of flight allows you to take in the game’s atmosphere even more.
The graphics are highly impressive, and vary according to an advanced options menu so that everybody can play while enjoy the sceneries of nature. At the highest setting, the setting cycles between night and day, you can see highly detailed rain, and you can even see your reflection in water. Likewise, the music is beautiful with a touch of Asian influence. It does boring sometimes, however, so if you’re grinding in the same area for extended periods of time you may end up muting the game volume and putting on your own music (or the television). The water sound and graphic effects especially are very immersive, and the game is worth playing simply for the experience of swimming, flying, and riding Unicorn!

Perfect Character Customization
Perfect World’s character creation is definitely one of the most notable features within the game. In terms of a fantasy based free to play MMO, Perfect World probably has one of the most extensive and detailed character creation systems ever created. The amount of detailing players can put into their character is astounding, allowing everything from eye shadow color to hair length, to mouth width. I had no problem recreating many of my favorite fictional characters.
The flawless character customization even allows you to upload a reference image. So, if you want to go ahead and conjure up a spitting image of Justin Bieber, just so you can fly as high as you can into the air and watch him fall endlessly to the ground, you can find an image on Google, download it, and upload it in-game so you have a guide to use without having to alt tab. The two most recent expansion races simply add even more content, with the Aerians and the Shadow Clan allowing more customization to player taste.
Legacy Gameplay
Perfect World: Legacy expands upon the already established PW Eclipse by adding the Aerians and Shadow Clan race, which carries with it the Swordseido, Wraith Angel, Rogue and Sorcerer classes. These four classes possess many new skills and up the total to 10 classes. Perfect World Legacy definitely allows for much variability in terms of gameplay between the ten classes (Elf Archer, Rogue, Werebeast, Warrior, Elf Priest, Wraith Angel, Sorcerer, Swordseido, Werefox, and Magician), and the five races (Aerians, Human, Shadow Clan, Beastkind, Winged Elves). The gameplay aspects of the classes, allow various mixtures of combat, ranging from aerial combat, to underwater battles, and last but not least, those on land. Winged Elves are the only class that can fly from level one, as their name implies, they’re given the gift of flight from birth. Other races have to wait until level 30, unless you buy an Aviation from the Fortune Sack. Wing Elves uses different types of wings, while the Human uses different type of swords flight. Beastkind uses different types of creatures as their flight, while the Aerians uses different type of Kites. Last but not the least, Shadow Clan uses a elemental flight which is look alike from the wingkin tribe.

Perfect World: Legacy combat or party kill isn’t much to brag about. There are a lot of classes, sure, but the combat system seems very repetitive and for me it has been done many times before. Targeting a mobs, using the keys 1-9 or f1-f9, standard MMO stuff. However, the game features many expansive modes such ZEN party as a group uses all their effort to grind and gain more exp from killing many mobs as they can. A very finely tuned Pet System, Territory Control System, and Crafting System is also very interesting in Perfect World Legacy. My favorite out of these three is definitely the Territory Control System because I’m a sucker for open world objective based PvP. The Territory Control System allows various guilds to bid on “states” to own in the game. Guilds can battle over these territories and utilize catapults and different types of towers to attack and defend these, leading to an epic-looking battle royale. The grand prize? The guild will have their own territories and represents the color in the map. Your clan will be famous as long as you will have more territories. All guild members get the ability to teleport to the states you own every hour, but here in PW Legacy its not important because we can use teleport stone that can be buy at the fortune sack. The most important things I love on having a territories is that it can provides services such as free healing and item identification, HP and Mana Pots, PK and TW Pills, thus adding a benefit to fighting so hard and paying so much for a territory.
Legacy Mounts
In Perfect World: Legacy you can ride different types of mount. Mount range from animals to mythical beasts. You can buy any mount in the fortune sack for only 1 cubi coin. The most interesting mount in Perfect World: Legacy is the legendary animal from European folklore that resembles a white horse with a large, pointed, spiraling horn projecting from its forehead, and sometimes a goat's beard : the Unicorn ( see picture at the perfect graphics section). Most of the player will enjoy this mount with its speed of 11.0 meter/second and a transparent look of the Uni Horned Horse Beast.
Legacy Fortune Sack
Perfect World: Legacy supports itself financially with an item mall or fortune sack, not surprisingly. Unlike many item malls in free-to-play MMORPGs, this item mall contains all sorts of items that you actually really want to buy. You can buy all the things you need in game with your free 99 cubi-golds, or use the Donation System in order to earn more cubi-gold in game and buy things from stalls, something especially useful for weapons, armors and accessories. You can also enjoy great items by participating the Auction System daily and spending some cubi gold in order to win the necessary items that you can't buy in the Fortune Sack.
Legacy Fashions
In Perfect World: Legacy part of the game, Fashions are often sought after by players so that they may add more of a personal touch to their character (or, to hide the "ugly" armor). Legacy Fashions can be bought from the Fortune Sack (push O to access in-game) with Cubi-gold or of for free (thanks to GM). Should you find the right choice and taste of clothing, but not the right color, dyes can also be bought in a variety of colors but sorry you cant choose the right color. Buy the random dyestuff and used at the Lady of Ser Olencia to dye clothes (provided you have enough same-color dyes) you can use normal dyeing or the set dyeing system.

- Plenty to do up to level 120, and a decent amount to do after that.
- Beautiful graphics
- Extensive flying mounts and mount options.
- Interesting pet system and some interesting new classes.
CONS
- Can be a little confusing in the beginning.
- Easy to lose a lot of time and money on there (moreso than other MMORPGs that I've played).
- Very addictive... though that might be a pro.
- PK make players more aggressive in thrash talk and bad words.
Conclusion:
Fundamentally, Perfect World: Legacy is a simple game. The combat isn’t anything special, the setting doesn’t seem shockingly new, and the classes aren’t novel. However, the various bonus features make it great. For me, Territorial War (Guild Wars) makes this game so unique. Because it is like playing DOTA with your friends. Combing your talents and strategies how to defeat your opponents. Developing your skills and perception regarding the tactics in solving problem and defeating your enemy.
Players who have never experienced an MMO are lucky to come across this game, as it is a perfect “bread and butter” introduction to all MMOs , whether they are F2P or P2P, because of the great features. Perfect World is a must play for any MMO gamer, as the features it has aren’t common within the industry.
I really love this game. This game is very fun and addictive that can take up a great deal of your time!
I personally recommend this game to all my friends to join and continue the Legacy in Perfect World. Experiencing the new race, class and new features of Perfect World. Playing for fun and gaining friends as you level up and get strong. I tried many online games for so many years, but Perfect Wolrd: Legacy would be the best Private Server of Perfect World for the Philippines.
